Country Grove Children's Center will provide a safe, warm, nurturing and creative environment for your child to observe, interact (with adults and peers), play and learn. We believe each child is an individual. Our staff will use positive guidance techniques in order to enhance a child's feeling of self worth. Our staff will have a degree in early child development and/or appropriate child related experience and supervision. Activities will be designed to meet their needs on a social, emotional, physical and cognitive level. We offer various programs to best fit your child's needs, which include full day and half day preschool.

Our programs are unique to others because we are structured in a developmentally progressive manner in various age groups. We are pleased to offer classrooms that allow careful attention to each developmental stage. Our programs/classrooms include Infants, Waddlers, Toddlers, Tiny Tots, Preschool 3s, Pre-K 4s, along with Before & After School Care for the entire Arlington district.
Infants: Will be provided with a separate sleeping and playing area. A minimum of one care provider/teacher will be with every 4 infants at all times. Children will be provided with a safe and loving environment. Each child will have his own crib. Staff will interact and provide stimulating play which promotes awareness of child's surroundings. We pride ourselves with the special care our little ones receive.
Waddlers: When a child is walking & at least 12 months old, we will transition him/her over to a more stimulating and age-appropriate program to allow the child to discover and explore his/her surroundings. We will continue to provide a safe and nurturing environment. A minimum of one care provider/teacher will be with every 4 waddlers.
Toddlers: Will be provided with a wide range of age appropriate toys, arts and crafts, sensory activities, gross motor play and other stimulating activities. A minimum of one care provider/teacher will be with every 5 toddlers at all times.
Tiny Tots: We are fortunate to offer a transitional preschool room. This room will have a more relaxed introduction to our traditional pre-school room. This program will focus more on cooperative and social behavior, guiding each child in developing the tools they need in becoming a good friend and teaching them the appropriate ways to share. Emphasis will also be on colors and shapes. The staff ratio will be 1:5.
Pre-school: This program will provide a developmentally challenging curriculum. Shapes, colors, numbers, letter sounds and recognition being our main focus at circle time. Our table centers will consist of a variety of sensory and small manipulative activities. We will incorporate plenty of opportunity for free-play as well, which will provide social development. The staff ratio will be 1:7
Pre-K Program: This program focuses on development of fine dexterity and gross motor skills providing each child with individual growth in cognitive, social and physical development. Strong emphasis on phonics and writing to prepare for all the necessary kindergarten common core curriculum. The staff ratio will be 1:8
